Where do I start when it comes to describing this fantastic day! As a wedding photographer it was everything I could have hoped for and more.
From beginning to end the day ran perfectly, with preparations held at the atmospheric Churston Manor followed by the ceremony, which was held at Lupton House mansion based in Brixham, with afternoon tea and the reception to follow.
Becky looked stunningly beautiful, wearing an embellished Rosa Clara wedding dress, with 1950's classically styled hair, a coordinating head piece and earrings to match, not to mention the beautiful long veil which seemed to stay perfectly in place throughout the day and which worked brilliantly in some of the styled photographs (Paul you looked pretty sharp too!).
Vows were exchanged in the 'Sanctuary' at Lupton House in front of a beautiful old mirror and under a romantic twinkling of fairy lights. After the newlyweds had made their exit, they were showered with a generous throwing of confetti outside in front of the main doorway, which had everyone laughing, smiling and cheering.
During the late afternoon and preceded by a ride in their vintage Austin motor wedding car, Becky and Paul then played host to their relaxed afternoon tea in the main dining room of the house (which they very kindly included me in). I really was awe struck at the sight of the table settings (and a little bit in love with the large window with turquoise painted framing - the one with the pink flamingo perched on).
Towards the end of the day guests enjoyed a spot of laser shooting on the lawn, took to the bar and generally seemed to be enjoying every minute! It was during this interval that I really got to chat to some of these lovely people who were so warm and welcoming, and just radiated happiness, which I think really shines through in the photo's!
The first dance was accompanied by live music from Mammoth band (very good!) before everybody piled onto the main floor to shimmy the night away.
Becky and Paul, I'm going to miss you! I really enjoyed photographing your wedding and wish you many years of happiness to come.
Lots of love, Rebecca (your photo ninja ;o))
