When I arrived at Quantock Lakes to photograph Kath and Larry's winter wedding this February, it was cold & windy, wet, and beautiful.
I'd been looking forward to this wedding for some time, and to be meeting Kath; entrepreneur and founder of EcoStardust Biodegradable Glitter, and Larry, formula one mechanic.
One of the first things I laid my eyes on arrival was Kath's beautiful 3-piece wedding dress, designed by none other than HERSELF (you'll have to scroll down to see), I was in complete awe.
It was also the first time I'd set foot inside 'The granary', a luxurious, newly built, nine bedroom barn conversion within the grounds, where the groom and party were preparing (and playing a few rounds of FIFA on the big screen in front of the cosy fire).
Vows were exchanged in the 'main barn' in front of the fire and with dotted candles, which was later converted by the venue into the wedding breakfast room, to seat 110 guests, all with beautifully designed, individual place settings.
Later on whilst guests were being glittered at Kath's Eco Glitter bar, playing Jenga, and having fun in the cosy fire lit adjacent barn, the main barn was again being converted into a space for the evening, where the first dance would take place and super cool three man band, 'The Zu Zu Men' would be performing.
Before my departure Kath and Larry's guests would be in for one final surprise, THE FIREWORKS! At around 9pm everyone filtered out of the open French doors to take a look at the spectacular display, before partying the night away.
Kath & Larry, thank you for having me as your wedding photographer. I loved every minute.
Wishing you every happiness for the future
Rebecca
